That is the vision of IEST. 

I have served multiple roles on the IEST Executive Board and this is my second go around as IEST President. I choose to be an active member because IEST’s vision is something I truly believe in.

We have a duty to pass along our knowledge to future generations of professionals in contamination control, nanotechnology facilities, environmental test and product reliability. 

Not only does IEST’s success depend on our efforts, but the success of our industries.

From one peer to another, I ask for your help to make our organization the most sought-after platform for knowledge transfer.

While we reflect on our individual goals, let’s make sure we include our IEST contributions among them. Let’s pledge to invest in those who want to invest in themselves. In turn, let’s commit to invest in those who want to invest in us. That starts with our commitment to IEST and to the continuing education of the work forces in our industries.

In every area of the organization, our volunteer leaders are a driving force in delivering value and bringing our mission and vision to life. Due to IEST’s size and collaborative culture, you can immediately contribute to efforts that shape our industry. 

There is a very real opportunity this spring where you can directly help shape the IEST Standards and Recommended Practices (RPs) your industry uses: attend an IEST Working Group (WG) meeting during ESTECH 2023, IEST’s Annual Meeting & Exposition, being held May 8-11.  Subject matter expertise is not required to observe the work of a group.
